The T@W: Sustainable Energy Technology at Work project, supported by the EU's Sixth Framework Programme (FP6),
will finish at the end of March 2008 and is thus in its final stage. The heart of the action has been to promote sustainable
energy technologies at carbon markets with focus on EU ETS and CDM markets in Asia and the project culminates in the
holding of Facilitation Workshops for bringing market actors together.
ESHA has prepared this Newsletter Special Edition on the outcomes of the T@W project:
T@W Mission: Sustainable Energy Technology at Work
Reducing climate change and promoting technology innovations that supports a sustainable future is a global challenge.
Meeting this goal is a common responsibility. The EU is committed to join the effort to tackle climate change party to the
Kyoto Protocol. This requires not only political willingness but also commitments from private actors to see opportunities and
help spur on technology innovations. T@W strives for a uniform effort in addressing the EU interests in the carbon markets,
comprising EU policy goals as well as business opportunities. The T@W team welcomes all EU actors and cooperation
partners outside the EU to join our mission and enhance Sustainable Technologies at Work.
The project mission is to connect sustainable development to business opportunities in order to:
position European Sustainable Energy Technologies at emerging climate markets
facilitate a sound development at the EU Emission Trading Markets
support business cooperation between innovative actors at the climate markets
T@W: Sustainable Energy Technology at Work on the market generated by the EU Emission Trade
Scheme and the linked CDM and JI markets
