How can I test to see if I can reach your POP server?
You can test to see if you can reach our POP3 servers by running this command at your command prompt:
telnet pop.yourdomainname.com 110
If you receive a response, you are able to reach our POP3 servers.
When I click the Test Account Settings button in MS Outlook XP, an error indicates that I cannot reach the
POP3 server. What does this mean?
In Outlook XP and 2003, the test incorrectly indicates an error in the configuration settings. Instead, skip the
test and send yourself or a friend a test email to verify that your account is working properly.
When I attempt to send/receive email in Outlook, why does a message prompt me for my username and
password?
In the Username box, enter your entire email address as your user name (e.g., myname@mydomain.com). If
this does not correct the problem, please contact Korora support to resolve the problem.
What problems are occurring if I can't send mail via your SMTP server?
Please be sure that you have enabled SMTP Authentication. See your email client’s setup documentation for
directions.
The other cause may be that your ISP (Internet Service Provider) does not allow third-party SMTP servers.
In this case, please contact your ISP to obtain their SMTP configuration settings.
