Excitement has filled the air for months as
Albuquerque waited with anticipation to
experience, first hand, the mouth-watering
delight of California Pizza Kitchen. Well
Albuquerque, wait no longer, CPK is here!
California Pizza Kitchen opened its doors
to a hungry Albuquerque on Monday,
By now I am certain you know the history
behind CPK and how attorneys Rick
Rosenfield and Larry Flax gave up their
legal files and courtroom drama in 1985 to
open the first California Pizza Kitchen in
Beverly Hills. Since then, CPK has not
only tantalized us with their “Original Bar-
beque Chicken” pizza from the supermar-
ket, but now they wow us with fabulous
appetizers, wonderful pasta dishes, and
delectable salads in the event pizza just
won’t hit the spot!
Okay, wipe the drool from the corners of
your mouth while I tell you CPK is not
only about great food, but giving back to
their community. In conjunction with each
opening of a CPK, one local children’s
charity will receive 100% of the proceeds
from a “Pizza Day.” Albuquerque’s “Pizza
Day” was Tuesday, August 19th and the
Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation will
receive all of the dine-in pizza sales from
