Minister of Finance, the Hon. Paula A. Cox, said Bermuda joined with other nations in mourning the tragic loss of so many lives as
devastating earthquake which had shattered Port-Au-Prince and had made homeless thousands of people.

regional associations like the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (the “CCRIF”) in which Bermuda was a donor country
of our association with the CCRIF but never more so then today. We pray for Haiti and take some comfort in knowing that our par
in bringing immediate and long-term support to a country and the people so much in need. I have no doubt, as well, that Bermuda’s
will drive our people to help Haiti in so many other ways in this time of its greatest need,” the Minister said.
