Harnessing Your Mental Energy
When you are working on a project or a report for work and you submit it to your
immediate superior, very rarely will the work be approved with just the first draft.
Instead, you will probably have to make several revisions until the final document is
completely polished and ready for presentation.
If you are able to harness more of your mental energy during the creation of your project
or report, it is very likely that fewer revisions will be required and the number of drafts
you have to make will be considerably reduced.
Calm Your Mind
It is very difficult to work efficiently when your mind is filled with anxiety and other
negative ideas. Before beginning work on anything, take the time to sit down and relax
for a few minutes. Take a deep breath and clear your mind of all the negative thoughts,
focusing instead on the task at hand.
While working on your project, some wayward thoughts will inevitably enter your mind,
perhaps about the deadlines of other projects or the meeting you need to attend in a
couple of hours. If it is an important thought, make a note. If it's not, ignore it.
