Envestnet Lands Senior Merrill Veteran to Focus
on Advisor Practice and Industry Analysis

CHICAGO--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Envestnet announced today the launch of a marketplace research
effort aimed at providing insights into financial advisor practice and investment management trends and performance.
To spearhead the effort, Karen Lanzetta, former director of the Office of the President at Merrill Lynch, has joined
Chicago-based Envestnet as its Senior Vice President, Director of Market Research.
With the tremendous shifts in the financial advisory landscape, insights into advisor practice patterns and portfolio
strategies will help establish a roadmap for how advisors are adding value and acting in the best interests of their
clients. These insights will help Envestnet continue to develop solutions and services aimed at empowering an
advisor’s fiduciary process.

For more than a decade, Ms. Lanzetta worked on various global strategic projects for Merrill Lynch in the
Corporate Strategy division, analyzing new business opportunities for the Firm and developing appropriate strategies
for individual business units. Formerly a Director in Merrill Lynch's Financial Institutions Group, Ms. Lanzetta was
also responsible for identifying key trends, developing innovative analyses, and creating strategic presentations for
