_____8. Construct 5 visual aides (submit photos or brief descriptions for instructors).
_____9. Write a 2-page paper on the use of visual aides in your classroom.
500 LEVEL ASSIGNMENT:
_____10. In addition to the 400 level assignment, do one of the following:
• Read 5-10 books by the author of your choice. Write a 2-3 page summary of how you will
use them.
• Create a mind-map of obstacles & solutions of incorporating thematic teaching into your
curriculum.
• Read a book about children’s literature in a primary classroom and write a 2-3 page paper.
400 & 500 LEVEL

SELF-REFLECTION AND INTEGRATION PAPER:

NOTES:
You may work collaboratively and submit joint assignments on all but the Self-Reflection and
Integration Papers that must be individually authored and submitted.
Alternatives to written assignments (video, audio tape, photo collage, collection of products, letter to
editor, brochures, WEB pages, etc.) may be sub
