Classes for Expectant Mothers
Why Not Participate in Classes for Expectant Women?
Shibuya Public Health Center offers “Maternity Classes” to promote safe and sound
delivery. For classes held in July, October, December and March (2007), an English interpreter
will be available. The contents are the same for all months, so you can join in from any month.
Not only expectant mothers, but partners and family members can also join in. Please come
to learn and chat about child delivery.
Time: 1:15 to 4:00 p.m.
Location: Lecture Hall, 3F Shibuya Public Health Center
Eligibility: Pregnant women who live in Shibuya City
Fee: Free

NHI Premium Payment System
to Change in 2006
NHI premiums will be paid in nine in-
stallments, beginning from July 2006. No
payments will need to be made from April
to June. However, payment of install-
ments from April to June may be required
in case of unpaid installments from the
previous year.
Health insurance premium calculations
are based on the amount of resident’s tax
paid. Up to now, a provisional assessment
in April was based on the previous year’s
tax figure and was followed by revised
levies from July, once that year’s resi-
dent’s tax amount had been determined.
