DUNDEE WANTS TO “TALK BEER” WITH PUB GOERS IN SYRAC
Beer lovers targeted for ‘beer conversations’
10.09.2009 – SYRACUSE, NY October 1, 2009 – The Dundee Draft Team will visit
neighborhood pubs throughout the region during the month of October, to ‘talk beer.’
Meeting one person at a time, the team will tell people about Dundee, introduce its
newest seasonal beer – Dundee Oktoberfest – and test people’s beer IQ through
small group trivia. The concept: evangelize Dundee Oktoberfest by hitting the streets
and talking to pub goers.
“For the past few months, we’ve been listening to consumers,” said Jason
Drewniak, brand manager for Dundee Ales and Lagers. “They want to hear from us.
And we want to talk with them. Our plan is simple: talk beer with people who love to
experience and drink beer.”
The program coincides with the fall introduction of Dundee Oktoberfest, a traditional
Marzen-style beer with a new taste profile. “Consumers liked the beer but preferred a
fuller-bodied taste. We listened,” said Drewniak. “Now we plan on talking to people
about the changes we’ve made to the beer, and encouraging them to give us a try.”
Dundee drinkers love experiencing and learning about beer. The Dundee Draft
Team will help them learn more about beer through conversations, a new social
media microsite that puts them in touch with other beer lovers, and fun trivia that they
can play with their friends. Drewniak added, “The goal is to join our consumers on
their quest for beer and all things beer. We want to help them discover new styles of
beer – and we hope they’ll try Dundee Ales and Lagers.
“We plan on building their confidence by telling them about our brewing process,
answering their questions and continuing to brew great beers that they love to drink.”
Plenty of great beer content and conversations are now available on

setting up an account and sharing your love for beer,” said Drewniak.
