When Is The
Best Time To
This question doesn’t have a clear answer! Iceland has
something special to offer throughout the whole year!
Winter: The winter months have very short days and long
nights plus it’s not possible to drive up to the highlands due
to the snow and ice. But therefore it is the best time to see
the unique polar lights!
Summer: In the summer months the sun will only set around
midnight (or not at all up in the north). You will also have a
great chance to see whales around the island. Starting from
mid-June until mid-August
