CAREERS AT COLES MYER
Coles Myer Agreement with Disability WORKS Australia (DWA)
On 28 July 2004, Coles Myer formed an alliance with Disability Works
Australia (DWA) to facilitate the employment of people with disabilities
throughout all Coles Myer brands until December 2006.
The Coles Myer Recruitment System
Coles Myer has a centralised recruitment system. All vacancies and
applications are handled via www.careers.colesmyer.com.
Sourcing Coles Myer jobs
Coles Myer advertises jobs on www.careers.colesmyer.com. This is a web-
based system available to the public. There are also new communication
channels formed internally, between DWA and Coles Myer to source non-
advertised positions that become available.

CML e-Recruitment process
The Coles Myer “standard” recruitment process involves;
on line application
initial screen
online assessment
group interview
referral to line manager
line manager decision/job offer
Depending on the level of support required, as determined by DWA’s pre-
screening, some workers with a disability may not need to attend group
interview or complete online assessment. It is reasonable to expect that
interview/s will occur, for the purposes of pre-screening/work trial/line
manager approval. We note that there is no requirement for a Coles Myer
business to employ a worker with a disability. The accountability for this
decision lies with the Coles Myer Line Manager.
