Photodetectors have found useful applications in various power and electronic fields such as in microwave power amplifications and fibre optic data communications. Different types of photodetectors, especially the PIN photodiodes and Avalanche photodiodes, are the most useful photodetectors in microwave and fibre optic communications. In this paper, the authors x rayed the different types of photodetectors, the photodetectors' principles, the fiber optic communication architecture and principles and finally carried out the comparative analysis of PIN and Avalanche photodiodes. ABSTRACT
Photodetectors have found useful applications in various power and
