Yacht racing has for a long time been a sport that has challenged the masses. For many
years it has been the sport of the rich and famous. However, today it is possible to
charter a fully equipped race yacht and go racing. That's assuming you know all about
the racing rules and how to manoeuvre one of these complex machines.
So how about becoming part of a crew that sails in the
10th Aegean Regatta in August 2010.
We are offering the opportunity for sailors to participate
in this prestigious event. NO Prior yacht racing
experience necessary. KORALIA 3 is a 55 ketch that
has the pedigree to be competitive on the race-course
and is able to highlight well any sailor who wishes to see
themselves in the winner’s circle.
Join the Yacht in Athens on August 17th and help sail her
to the island of Limnos in the Northern Aegean. The 10th
Aegean Regatta starts August 21, the islands that will be visited during the course of the
regatta will include Thassos, Samothraki, and Lesvos. The Greek Ministry of the Aegean
is the organizing sponsor and helps with each island hosting different events and
excursions for the regatta sailors.
At the end of the Regatta help sails the yacht back to Athens to complete your
AUGUST 17 – 30..

KORALIA 3 is a 54-foot racing ketch built in
1989 by the French yard Jeanneau. She
was designed by Guy Ribeau-Dumas in the
late 80’s. She was the last of a production
line yacht known as the Trinidad series.
The first owner commissioned the builders
to customize her more than the standard
production option available at the time.
She was built as a ketch as the owner was
planning to race her here in Greece. With
most sailing courses here being long
reaches and a lot of down wind-sailing, the
Ketch option was the best in terms of sail
area one can hoist when sailing these
