Durham Business School - Evans Easyspace Limited PhD Scholarship
2008/09
The Evans Easyspace Limited Scholarship will offer a generous package of support to an
outstanding doctoral research student, providing:
• Full payment of tuition fees at home / EU rate
• A maintenance stipend at the national rate (£12,940 in 2008/09)
A study of entrepreneurs and firms who select an Evans Easyspace Limited property to start
and grow their ventures. Barriers to business development will be assessed. The development
and performance of firms on and off Evans Easyspace Limited properties will be evaluated.
The student will provide regular feedback to the Board of Evans Easyspace Limited.

Eligibility
Applicants must have a Masters degree, or will be awarded a Masters degree prior to starting
the PhD, and meet the standard University and department admissions criteria. The
successful applicant will register on the full-time PhD programme at Durham University for
admission in the session 2008/09.
Nature of Awards
A three year scholarship will be awarded subject to satisfactory progress. In the second and
third year the award will continue to provide a full waiver of fees and a maintenance award at
the nationally agreed rate.
