...introducing IHT
IHT Gruppo Editoriale, the people behind CG Computer Gazette, is active on the publishing market since
1986. In that year it has been founded Commodore Gazette, a magazine that reached a circulation of
70,000 copies (at that time it was one of the best selling Italian magazines in the field of science & tech-
nology).
In the following years IHT published series of books (distributed by RCS Rizzoli Libri & Grandi Opere). In
the series Information Technolovy IHT has published Italian editions of titles from Addison Wesley, Bantam,
Microsoft e Sybex, some of these titles became best sellers. In the series Science & Technology IHT has
published titles about Artificial Intelligence, genetics, astronomy, economy, scientific discoveries...All Italian
editions of publications of publishers such as Times Books, Random House and Macmillan.
More recently, IHT entered the field of video productions with the series of fine arts programmes Arte in
Video (Italian editions of films produced by the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York), followed by video-
tapes about computer art, computer graphics and animations.
After the world of video, IHT entered that of television with Informatica VideoMagazine. IVM has been the
first weekly TV show dedicated to Information Technology broadcasted by an Italian network (Odeon TV). IHT
entirely managed it from the organization of the editorial staff, to the sales of advertisings and sponsor-
ships, to the TV production itself. In June ‘94 the show received an important award, the SMAU Journalist
Award for excellence in Information Technology. In 1996, the Video Guide published by Cecchi-Gori Group,
awarded IHT with the 7th place in the billboard of the best Italian video distribution companies.
In October 1998, IHT publishes a new magazine - Computer Graphics & Publishing, devoted to compu-
ter graphics, DTP, digital photography and Web design. At the end of 1999, the
great success of the Web site www.iht.it pushes the corporation to open it to
sponsors.
In October 2002,
