European Investment Bank introduced the concept of
a new TEN Investment Facility (TIF) in order to:
¾ strengthen and, where possible accelerate the
investment in TENs
¾
increase the EIB resources available for the
development of TENs transport to 2010
¾
improve the range of financial instruments available
from the Bank
¾
Increase Private sector participation
