Recap of Meeting - November 13, 2006
Members Present: Alice Grigsby (IUSD), Sabrina Barnes (PRCS), Teresa Estrada
(PRCS), Harry Frisby (PW), Rick Longobart (PW), Katie Howe (ADMIN), Richard Siminski
(LIBRARY), Fran Tracht (LIBRARY), Sgt. Minnie Veasy-Butts (IPD), and Teresa Sanford
(CD). Community Members: Bud Utter, Diane Sambrano, Sparky Bowman-Carpio.

Recap/Approval of Minutes from 10/30/06 meeting
Minutes from meeting of October 30, 2006 APPROVED (Motion by Alice Grigsby;
seconded by Rick Longobart)
Committee Members (invited participation)
Bud Utter, president of the Centinela Valley Historical Society (CVHS) and CVHS
member Diane Sambrano were in attendance. Mr. Utter provided a brief overview
stating the purpose of the Centinela Valley Historical Society is to perpetuate the
history of the Centinela Valley and its artifacts. The Society does research and
actively collects, sorts and preserves historic artifacts. Mr. Utter invited Committee
members to visit the Adobe to learn more about the City’s birthplace and rich history
and offered the Adobe as a future meeting location.
Theme Selection Process
Staff will pull together an assortment of possible logos and themes for consideration
by the Committee and then voting by the public. The theme, logo, mission, goals and
vision will be finalized by early January for inclusion in the February report to the
Mayor and Council Members.
Centennial Website
Information, Technology and Communications Department (ITC) Director, Michael
Falkow,
informed
the Committee he was
successful
in
securing
the
“Inglewood100.com,” “Inglewood100.org,” “Inglewood100.net,” domain names for
use by the City for its Centennial website. The names were secured for a 10 year
period. Cost $450. Mr. Falkow advised the committee on the process for launching a
website and requested the committee
