AIAG and INA Form New Collaborative Partnership
U.S. and Mexican automotive associations join forces to educate supply base.
Southfield, MI (Vocus) February 18, 2010 —- The Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) and Industria
Nacional de Autopartes (INA), the automotive parts manufacturers association in Mexico, announced today a new
collaborative partnership. This joint venture brings AIAG together with INA to ensure that suppliers in the U.S.
and Mexico are equipped with the same world-class educational programs, industry best practices and standards.
“We are committed to providing suppliers and manufacturers in the automotive industry with the tools and
resources they need to manage the economic recovery and beyond. Given the financial condition of the
automotive industry, it is imperative that we collaborate with organizations like INA to share the wealth of
information on supply chain and quality improvement best practices that will help this industry regain profitable
growth” said J. Scot Sharland, Executive Director, AIAG.
“INA is committed to supporting competitiveness to the total automotive manufacturing value chain through
national and international collaborative partnerships like this with AIAG” said Agustín Ríos, Executive
Members of both organizations will benefit from shared information and resources bringing together the best of
automotive manufacturing. Further, through this memorandum of understanding, AIAG and INA have agreed to
pursue areas of collaboration where appropriate, share information on initiatives and projects of common interest,
as well as member discounts for publications, training and events, and work collaboratively to organize a U.S.
Mexico Supply Chain Leadership Forum.
