Bible Story for children:
This week, unlike in the past, each hour will have a different Bible Story. The theme and
occasion are the same, just different parables. One hour will cover the parables of the
Lost Sheep and the Lost Coin. The other hour will cover the parable of the Lost Son
(Prodigal Son). Jesus taught these three parables at the same time. Tax collectors and
other “sinners” surrounded Jesus, as they were eager to hear what he had to say. The
Pharisees and teachers of the law complained that he would welcome and eat with them.
In response Jesus told these three parables. It is clear from these passages that Jesus and
God rejoice greatly over the lost being found and saved.
Each and every ONE is important to God.

sheep and not stop until he does find it. When it is finally found,
he will joyfully put it on your shoulders and carry it home. He
will call out to his fri
