CITY OF ANN ARBOR OFFERS FREE CRISIS TRAINING FOR
WASHTENAW COUNTY DAYCARE AND PRESCHOOL PROVIDERS
Registration deadline is Friday, February 20 at 5 p.m.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Feb. 9, 2009 –Is your daycare or preschool building secure? Do you
have policies and procedures in place that will be effective during a crisis? Do you know how to
effectively plan for a crisis to keep the children safe who are in your care?
Learn valuable information to help you answer these questions about your center during a free
“Daycare and Preschool Provider Seminar” sponsored by the City of Ann Arbor Police Services
and Huron Valley Ambulance, with assistance from a Citizen Corps Homeland Security grant.
Training Details
Date: February 25, 2009
Time: 10 a.m. to noon
Location: Ann Arbor City Hall, 100 N. Fifth Ave., Council Chambers 2nd Floor.
Seminar Topics: Building and Security; Policy and Procedures; Crisis Planning and Recovery;
and Drill Importance. One crisis-planning kit will be provided to each daycare or preschool in
attendance.
Registration requirements: The registration deadline is Friday, February 20 at 5 p.m. All
attendees must preregister and be a daycare or preschool located in Washtenaw County. Seating
is limited.
