Digital Pillow Speaker(s) shall be Alpha Communica-
tions®/TekTone model SF301DIG or approved equal,
and shall be suitable for use in general or oxygen
environments. Pillow speakers shall have a 2.75"
Mylar® cone speaker. The pillow speaker case shall
be constructed of flame-retardant ABS plastic. All
momentary contact SPST 10 AMP switches shall be
rated for over 1 million operations. The pillow speaker
cord shall be an 8 feet long and shall have an 8-pin
'DIN' plug at the and. The cord shall also be provided
with stain relief. Each pillow speaker shall be provided
with a wall hanger and security clip,
Controls shall be provided for volume, nurse call,
lamp, and television and radio functions. The pillow
speaker shall be capable of switching automatically
from entertainment audio to intercom audio when
used with the appropriate modules. The pillow speaker
shall be Electro-Static-Discharge (ESD) protected to
over 12,000 volts.
The SF301DIG shall be UL® 1069 listed.

The Alpha Communications® SF301DIG 'Digital'
Pillow Speakers are used primarily with the IR311B/
C and IR312B/C patient stations for the NC300II
series microprocessor nurse-call system(s).
The SF301DIG provides for call placement to the
system master station(s) as well as remote TV
analog/digital control. When used in conjunction with
the PM311C or PM312C Pillow Speaker Intercom
Modules, the unit also supplies two-way, hands-free
communications with the master station, and auto-
matic silencing of TV and Radio audio, while the
intercom is in use. When used with the RY350B
Radio Relay, the SF301DIG provides 4-channel

by the white cross. Separate pushbuttons are pro-
vided for TV ON/OFF, channel selection UP/DOWN,
Closed Captioning and Radio ON/OFF. Buttons are
also provided for Volume UP/DOWN, and room and
reading light controls.
