Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) July 8, 2009 -- A new "Airborne Division" of the corporate recovery business hits the
ground running this week with the launch here of the Cornerstone Turnaround Division.
The new Division, latest addition to the global Cornerstone International Group, the fourth largest executive
search consortium, may be the first to provide a hands-on team of recovery experts to rebuild stressed companies
anywhere in the world.
"There are a number of turnaround consultants out there, but I know from experience that even the best advice is
often not enough," says Dick Stevens, who heads up the new Division. "You've got to get in there with real
experience and help them do it. That's where we are different -- we act!"
The new Turnaround Division is being launched today (Wednesday) at the Cornerstone International Conference
being held at the Monte Carlo Resort & Casino. Speakers include Kevin Turner, the Chief Operating Officer of
Microsoft; David Perdue, who engineered the turnarounds of both Reebok and Dollar General; and Stevens
himself, who has led over 20 successful corporate revivals.
The Cornerstone Turnaround Division will be based in California and serve the client companies of member
firms in North America and around the world.
"With just our core team, we can put over 140 years of turnaround experience on the ground on Day One," says
Stevens. "I don't know of anyone else doing it this way."
The Turnaround Division is the brainchild of Bill Guy, Chairman and CEO of Cornerstone International Group
which has nearly 100 offices worldwide.
"Business all around the world is really hurting right now," says Guy. "We're in the business of executive
performance and we know the kind of leader it takes to turn around a troubled fir
