Section 17 of the Commodity Distribution Reform Act and WIC Amendments of 1987
(7 U.S.C. 612c note; Public Law 100–237) permits surplus commodities acquired by the
Commodity Credit Corporation and commodities acquired under section 32 of the Act of
August 24, 1935 (7 U.S.C. 612c), to be used for any program authorized to be carried out
by the Secretary that involves the acquisition of commodities for use in a domestic feeding
program, including a program authorized by this Act.
