Glee star does not
want Britney episode
GLEE’S Mathew Morrison has slammed the idea of
featuring Britney Spears’ music in an episode of the hit
show. Last month a Madonna-themed instalment of the
teen musical attracted 13.5 million viewers in the US.
Subsequently Spears’ manager Adam Leber circulated
the idea that the show should similarly showcase the
Toxic singer’s work. Leber took to Twitter, posting the
comment: “Do you guys want to see a Britney Spears
episode of Glee?”
Attending the White House Correspondents Dinner
this week, Morrison commented on the idea, saying:
“That’s a rumour her manager started,” Us Magazine
reports. “I hope our show doesn’t go along that route.”
Tarantino to
head jury at
Venice fest
RESERVOIR Dogs
director Quentin Tarantino
will head the jury at the
Venice Film Festival later
this year.
The hit filmmaker, who was behind movies such as
Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction, will be at the head of the panel
that award the festival’s main gong, The Golden Lion.
Last year’s head of the panel was director Ang Lee,
who awarded the Golden Lion to Israeli flick Lebanon.
The festival will be held on The Lido in Venice from
September 1 to 11. Tarantino picked up the Palme D’Or
award at the festival in 1994 for Pulp Fiction, which
starred Uma Thurman and John Travolta.
JESSICA Biel learnt to use
machine guns and assault
rifles for her role in the
upcoming movie The A
Team. For the remake of the
classic 80s TV show, Biel
got to grips with handling
a range of weaponry.
“I’ve been training a lot
with an M4 semi-automatic
assault rifle, a machine gun
and a Beretta 9-millimetre,”
Biel said in an interview
with The Los Angeles
Times. “It is so physically
Biel’s high-calibre act
challenging - holding up your gun, firing your magazine,
reloading.”
