prototypes of optical fiber sensors, for measurement of strain, vibrations, and audio;
building prototype of a high power optical fiber laser for marking applications, partnering
with major industrial players (Primaindustrie, Datalogic).

Endeavour researcher. Visiting researcher at University of Sydney, Interdisciplinary
Photonics Laboratories (Endeavour scholarship). Design, implementation and prototyping
of an innovative optical fiber laser for high-power applications.
Politecnico di Torino – Jan 2007 to Dec 2009
PhD Fellow. Created from scratch architectures of vibration, audio and strain optical fiber
sensors. Implemented signal processing software to empower the system. Built fully
operative prototype. Cut down costs up to 3-5 times over competing technology. First-
authored 17 publications in international journals and conferences.
