Watch A Movie And
Discuss Black Racism
Never fear about discussing racial issues that are important to you -
visit Black Belonging Matters for a supportive team that helps Black
people find jobs and encourages the analysis of systematic racism.
Black Belonging Matters, a company
dedicated to improving job options for
Black people, has announced a new
virtual movie viewing event to use film
as a mode to discuss and analyze
race.
The company's newly announced online movie event will feature
"Coming To America 2" and will be held on Monday, April 26th from 8
pm to 9:30 pm EDT.
"Coming To America" tells the story of the
African Prince, Akeem, that travels to
America searching for love and his future
queen in Queens, New York. "Coming To
America 2" is the sequel and continues where
the first movie left off.
Systematic racism is found in inequalities in employment,
education, housing, healthcare, and the justice system.
Improving career options and
work environments for Black
people will help to combat this
type of racism.
Black Belonging Matters believes in the power of experiential
learning and in the transformational nature of open dialogue.
The company uses film and
print to highlight the Black
experience in America.
Black Belonging Matters works to solve micro and macro
aggressions that affect Black people in the area of
employment.
The company is 100 percent
Black-owned and provides top-
tier, full-scale services that create
a sense of belonging in the
workplace.
A satisfied client said: "I thought the program was run very well and it
was great to get a chance to break out into small groups to get to know
my co-workers.
I also felt like people were more open
to chatting and sharing their
experiences in the smaller groups. I
felt it was a very beneficial program
for me."
