KRONOS AUTHORITY EXEMPT EMPLOYEE PAY CODES
BIWEEKLY EXEMPT EMPLOYEES
(NEVER ENTER IN OR OUT PUNCHES FOR EXEMPT EMPLOYEES)
AU-PTO PAID TIME OFF On each particular day that PTO is selected under Pay Code Category, it is
important that under Comments Function to Select PTO/Sick or PTO/Vacation for auditing purposes.
DESIGNATED HOLIDAYS - When using PTO Hours for a Designated Holiday, you can select which Holiday
under Comments, such as Christmas, Thanksgiving. Etc.
AU-ESL EXTENDED SICK LEAVE - ESL will commence after usage of 24 consecutive hours (prorated for
part-time employees) of PTO; or any combination of 24 hours of PTO and unpaid leave if the employee has less
than 24 hours of accrued PTO. (PTO previously approved for other purposes such as vacation or personal business
should not be used to reduce the normal 24 hour access period for ESL.)
AU-TOK TEN PERCENT TOKEN (Ten Toke) These hours should be used first when giving leave hours to an
employee. Use only for Sick Time.
AU-SML SUPPLEMENTAL MEDICAL LEAVE - MAY BE USED FOR PERSONAL MEDICAL
LEAVE TO INCLUDE FAMILY MEMBERS AND DEPENDENTS
06-LWOP When an exempt employee does not have leave on the books and should not be paid for exempt
scheduled biweekly worked hours, please use LWOP to track. However, it is important that you notify the Authority
Payroll Department when an employee is not to be paid for regular biweekly exempt pay or is in a LWOP STATUS.
Example: (New Hire Employee taking a Designated Holiday within the first pay period worked and employee has
no leave hours).
