LA Nonprofit Opens Two New Facilities To
Transition Unhoused Back Into Society
Holliday’s Helping Hands (HHH) is a nonprofit in LA
helping the homeless, adding 2 new facilities with 36
and 100 beds respectively, totalling 12 residential
homes
Founded by Miss Katina Holliday,
HHH finds housing for the
homeless, provides counseling,
life skills, and job training
LA County currently has 75,312 homeless individuals, slightly down from 75,518 last year,
due to housing costs, wages, mental health, and substance use issues
Miss Holliday is pleased with the new facilities,
believing the community is stabilizing
Part of HHH's success is guiding clients in creating
detailed future plans to refine skills, manage budgets,
excel in interviews, and be good citizens
The Shine Ambassador Program readies them for jobs in areas like food service, landscaping, and
customer service
