Examples of Word Walls Word walls don’t just have to be on a bulletin board! Be creative and let your students be creative! Word walls are always changing, any day, week, or month! A little book of words! This is great because students can take this anywhere (home, another class, different places in the room). Curtains are great! You can hang them anywhere, and when you are not using them you can pull up the blind! File folder and ribbon makes a great word wall! Using CDs create a great word wall database! If you use the correct markers on the CDs you can erase the words! Shower curtains are great! You can hang them anywhere. You can write on the shower curtain. Science boards! Use velcro and students can take the words off the board! Read a book and make a wall of the characters. Have students share words with each other. What words connect with other words? Hmm. I think I see another wall . . .
