Welcome!
We extend our warm welcome to you and we are pleased and
proud that you have decided to visit our country. People of
all lands love their believing it to be the most beautiful. The
Croats call their country “Our Beautiful Homeland” - just as
the fi rst verse of our national anthem describes it.
The Republic of Croatia is a European parliamentary state
and a part of the European political and cultural history. By
size it belongs among the middle-sized European countries
like Denmark, Ireland, the Slovak Republic or Switzerland.
Croatia is a land of open borders and clear-cut customs for-
malities. It is also a country of concord, and one that is re-
spectful towards its guests. We Croats strive to make Our
Beautiful Homeland just as beautiful for those who visit it,
and we do our best to ensure that when leaving, they take
with them the most beautiful memories.
Welcome to Croatia!
