Title: Discover your career! Do you know that most of us work in an industry or have a career which is not acceptable to them? Yet, they work in that trade throughout their life! Those were the days. You have a choice to be able to love your job or drag your feet to work each day! Let me share with you this simple tip! Discover Your Passion! It sounds simple! Should you do it right, you open a door to a thousand doors. Do it wrongly, you found yourself in dead-end cavern with water gushing in from the entrance. Let us see how long you can hold your breath. (a.k.a. how long you can sustain without income with bills to pay) Let's pretend you've reached the end of your life. You’re now in heaven looking back on it. What are the 12 things you wished you would have done and done it, would have done but have not yet fulfilled it? Close your eyes. Let your mind be free and your thoughts roam. Write it down. Repeat. On average, it takes 20 – 30 minutes to complete this exercise that is if you are very sure. If you are doing this the FIRST time, fret NOT. Relax! Give yourself EXTRA 10 minutes. 10 mins 20 mins 30 mins Okay, well DONE! Give yourself a HIGH FIVE (your left palm slap your right palm!). I want you to do this very important exercise! It’s going to be tough and you have to be brutally honest with yourself. Only you can help yourself. I can only guide you from now on. Let’s start! Looking at your list of at least 10 things you would have done – tick the #01 and start compare it with #02. Ask yourself which one is more important. If #02 is more important to you, then strike off #01. Wait. Wait. I know you got the geez of it already! Allow me a chance to demonstrate. NOW compare #03 with #04. Repeat it, till you have 5 left. Here is your greatest moment in life! (apart from your birth) Take a deep, deep breath. Promise yourself a treat for having come thus far! Quickly label your TOP 6 – A, B, C, D, E, and F and cover it! Take a deep breath! Yes again! READY? STOP! STOP! STOP! I want you to SWEAR TO GOD THAT YOU WILL BE BRUTALLY TRUTHFUL WITH YOURSELF, AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH! Okay, good! Go! The keyword here is ELIMINATION. If you don’t eliminate, you CAN’T achieve success. In fact, your whole life would be ruined because you don’t FOCUS on what’s important to YOU! Look at A and B – Ask yourself, if I don’t do A but do B, how would I feel? If you feel that you can’t live without A, then leave A as it is. There is NO room for both! Look at C and D – Ask yourself, if I don’t do C but do D, how would I feel? If you feel that you can’t live without C, then leave C as it is. There is NO room for both! Look at E and F – Ask yourself, if I don’t do E but do F, how would I feel? If you feel that you can’t live without E, then leave E as it is. There is NO room for both! There! You have your TOP 3 Passion of Your Life! You HAD DONE IT!!! Go for a holiday for a week at the beach you dreamt of. Go on a shopping splurge if you will! Just joking! These 3 passions are your fuel to drive towards your destination! Every day, you are getting closer to your dreams, savoring every moment of the day – IF you follow through my advices. Next, we will determine your skills, how do you perform your skills and the environment you prefer to work in. then, you are set for your dream career! How I wish there is someone to tell me all this when I was near graduation! Pbtt! Your friend, Charles 1. What one subject can you enjoy talking about for many hours? 2. Do any of your hobbies involve working a lot with other people? 3. What specific concerns preoccupy your mind, breaking into whatever else you're thinking about? 4. What do you most enjoy doing for others? 5. Who 'out there' in the world have you come to care about the most? Who do you most want to help, enable, or reach? (You define the categories, whatever way you want. Go with your first instincts.) 6. Now, write down at least five of your life experiences that most gave you a sense of fulfillment and/or growth. (Don't think about them until later -- just write them down for now.) If more experiences come to mind, just keep listing them until you exhaust yourself. You'll sort them out later.
