March 2, 2020 Dear Paralympic Sport Clubs, On behalf of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, I want to thank you for the numerous contributions you have made to support sport opportunities for youth and adults with disabilities. At this time, we have significant changes to share with you in regard to the USOPC's Paralympic Sport Club (PSC) program. Over the past number of years, the Paralympic Sport Club program has seen steadily declining levels of participation and reporting. At the present time, we will not be renewing contracts for the Paralympic Sport Club program in 2020. This difficult decision comes as we continue to enhance our compliance requirements for association and/or membership with the USOPC, and as we assess how to best allocate our finite resources. This programmatic change will allow the USOPC to more narrowly focus on the mission of empowering Team USA athletes to achieve sustained competitive excellence and well-being. While we will no longer be recognizing programs and institutions with the PSC name and logo, we hope to continue the rich relationships we have cultivated with so many of our valuable partners. Moving forward, we encourage you to engage directly with the relevant National Governing Bodies for the sports that you offer and take advantage of their robust club infrastructures. Please reach out if we can help facilitate these introductions. We ask that you put a plan in place to phase out all use of the marks with the Paralympic Sport Club name and logo, with no new materials being created and all marks removed as soon as possible, and no later than May 1, 2020. Please reach out to us with any questions. Best, Julie Dussliere
