Apple & Brie Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Whole Grain Bread
Apple (sliced thin)
This sandwich is best enjoyed immediately after making.
Use gluten-free bread.
Arugula, spinach or kale.
Use a sliced pear instead.
Use apricot, blackberry, or a mixed fruit jam instead.
Heat a skillet over medium-low heat.
Spread the butter on the outside of both slices of bread. Spread the fig jam on
the inside. Add the brie and apple slices on top of the jam. Close the sandwich
and transfer it to the skillet. Cook for about four minutes per side, until golden-
brown on both sides.
Remove the sandwich from the skillet and slice in half. Enjoy!
