THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF HAVERFORD COLLEGE CONSTITUTION
Preamble
THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF HAVERFORD COLLEGE is hereby constituted
with the purposes of promoting and assisting the College in carrying out its charter,
serving as a vehicle for the College to continue to enrich the lives of its alumni, and
uniting in an association of men and women with shared educational experience,
interests, and ideals.
Article I:
Membership
The membership of the Association shall consist of all holders of degrees from and
former students of Haverford College and such members of the faculty, the Board of
Managers, and the Haverford family as may be elected to membership in the Association
by the Alumni Association Executive Committee.
Article II:
Alumni Association Executive Committee
A.
The Alumni Association Executive Committee shall be the primary governing
body of the Association. It shall act upon matters brought before it by the Alumni
Association and the College, and make policies, programs and decisions
governing the alumni community. The Alumni Association Executive Committee
shall also serve as a forum for the discussion and communication of ideas and
recommendations with respect to the business of the Association, and of the
operations, policies and programs of the College. Alumni Association Executive
Committee members shall keep their respective constituencies informed about
matters which come before the Alumni Association Executive Committee.

B.
Meetings of the Alumni Association Executive Committee shall be conducted in
the manner of a Friends meeting for business, with the President presiding as
clerk.
C.
All meetings of the Alumni Association Executive Committee shall be open to
attendance by any member of the Alumni Association.
D.
The Executive Committee shall consist of:

the officers of the Association.

twenty to thirty representatives, consisting of such number of regional liaisons
and at-large representatives as the Committee deems app
