Essent Healthcare Names COO, Treasurer
Longtime Senior Execs Steve Wylie and John Fick Receive Promotions

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Essent Healthcare announced today that Steve Wylie,
former senior vice president of financial operations, has been promoted to executive vice president and chief
operations officer for Essent Healthcare, effective immediately. John Fick will serve as senior vice president,
controller and treasurer for the company.
Wylie joined Essent in October 2000 and has been responsible for the company’s revenue cycle, supply chain,
pharmacy drug procurement, managed care contracting, product line analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
“Over his many years with our company, Steve’s role has expanded greatly from traditional financial operations
areas,” said Mike Browder, president and CEO of Essent Healthcare. “Most recently, he has been intimately - and
enthusiastically - involved in all of the operations of our hospitals. His new title recognizes the exceptional work he
has been doing in that regard.”
Before joining Essent, Wylie was associate executive director of finance at both Charlotte Medical Center in Punta
Gorda, Fla., and Rankin Medical Center in Brandon, Miss. He earned a bachelor of science in finance and
marketing from the University of South Carolina.
John Fick, current vice president and corporate controller, will add treasurer to his responsibilities. His new title will
be senior vice president, controller and treasurer. John has been a part of the company since 2000 and has been
responsible for Essent’s financial accounting and reporting.
Prior to Essent, Fick was director of financial operations and vice president of financial operations for PhyCor, Inc.
in Nashville, Tenn. And as a senior manager at Ernst & Young. He received his bachelor of science from University
of New Orleans.
