Product Range 2009 W E C O N N E C T W E P R O T E C T F O R L I F E Delton started as the Sole selling agent in India and Burma for LES, Sumitomo and Leoni cables before World War-II, under the leadership of present CMD’s grandfather. 1948 - Company established by late Shri Ram Kumar Gupta. 1955 - Set up first plant at Najafgarh Road, Delhi. First company to manufacture plastic cables in India. 1956 - Commenced manufacturing switch board wires. 1957 - manufacturing textile braided cordage for the first time in India. 1958 - Commenced manufacturing Switch Board cables named PAX Cables in sizes 5, 10 and 20 pairs. 1960 - Signed a 3 year contract with Indian Telephone Industries for supply, which was renewed many times. 1960 - Set up . 1980 - Received first . 1981 - Dharuhera Plant to cater for future growth. 1983 - Developed FRLS cables for the first time in India 1985 - Relocated machinery to have “Wire drawing” and “Rod break down” facilities at Dharuhera Plant. 1989 - Signed MOU with “Filotex” for High Temperature wires. 1991 - Recognised for significant contribution by The Department of Space, Government of India, in successful Launch of ASLV-D 1997 - Dharuhera factory certified under ISO 9002 : 1994. 1998 - Faridabad factory certified under ISO 9002 : 1994. 2007 - Set up Switchgear Plant at Noida. Jelly Filled Axle Counter Cables are employed for signaling and interlocking circuits in electrified railway systems. Screening of the cable is essential to exclude the inductive interference of traction currents.
