Electric vehicle charging points in Oslo
The Oslo City Council decided in January 2008 to set focus on reducing CO2 emissions from the
transport sector in Oslo and to begin a large-scale preparation for electric vehicles in the city. The
Department of Environmental Affairs and Transport was asked to establish 400 charging points
for electric vehicles in the period 2008-2011. The planning and establishing of these charging
points are the responsibility of the Traffic Agency, which is part of the Department of
Environmental Affairs and Transport. As of May 2009, we have a total of 46 charging points,
both indoor and on the street.
On the map you can see our current available charging points as well as the planned locations.
The list shows which stations are open for use, and which are to open during 2009. In order to
unlock the charging point, use the separate key that comes with your electric vehicle when you
buy it. If you do not have a key you can contact us or contact Norstart. Always leave the charging
point locked even when you are plugged in and charging. The charging points are designed to be
able to lock even with the power cord plugged in. Charging and parking is free, but users need to
abide by the time regulation as listed on the various locations.
