Sound System Installations Halifax

Definition Audio Visual recently completed a comprehensive sound system installation at
Siddal Rugby Club in Halifax, significantly enhancing the audio experience for members and
spectators alike. This project involved a complete overhaul of the existing system, from the
bar and suite areas to the outdoor balcony and pitch-side, providing a flexible and high-
quality audio solution for all occasions.
Inside the clubhouse, we replaced the outdated speakers in the bar and suite areas with
eight sleek and powerful Optimal Audio Cuboid 6 wall-mounted speakers. Four speakers
were strategically placed in each room, ensuring even sound distribution and crystal-clear
audio for patrons enjoying the club’s amenities.
Extending the audio experience outdoors, we installed two weather-resistant Optimal Audio
Cuboid 6 speakers on the newly constructed balcony. These white speakers blend
seamlessly with the exterior and provide excellent sound quality for those enjoying the
outdoor space.

To ensure optimal sound coverage for spectators on the pitch, we installed two Apart Audio
Long Throw Music Horns, strategically positioned below the balcony and directed towards
the field. These powerful horns deliver clear and impactful audio, perfect for pre-match
entertainment, announcements, and post-game celebrations.
Behind the scenes, the old sound equipment was replaced with a state-of-the-art system
featuring a Cloud Z4 mixer and three Cloud 2-channel amplifiers. This new setup provides
four independent audio zones, offering unparalleled flexibility in controlling the sound
throughout the club. To further enhance usability, we installed four Cloud RSL6 remote
volume control plates and an input plate for audio devices behind the bar, allowing staff to
easily manage the audio levels and connect various sources.
Leveraging the existing Sennheiser handheld radio microphone system that Definition Audio
Visual installed previously, the club can now make clear and concise team announcements
in any of the independent zones on match days. This allows for targeted communication
and a more engaging experience for everyone present.
Furthermore, we reconnected the club’s existing Sky Box to the new system, enabling them
to seamlessly transmit audio from sports channels to all zones. This ensures that members
can enjoy the full match-day experience, with clear and immersive sound accompanying the
visuals. The ability to adjust sound levels in each zone provides complete control and
ensures that everyone can enjoy the audio at a comfortable level.
