Glioblastoma Donation: UK Citizens Need Funding
For Private Experimental Treatments
Asta Pratapaviciene is calling for donations for her
partner, Raimondas’, urgent treatment for
glioblastoma, a devastating form of brain cancer that
quickly destroys healthy cells.
Glioblastoma is a fast-acting,
rare brain cancer, often fatal
within 12-18 months of diagnosis,
and, sadly, these tumors resist
standard treatments like
chemotherapy.
This is why researchers are exploring experimental therapies, including immunotherapy
and targeted gene therapies. However, they are not funded by the NHS.
What this means for sufferers like Raimondas is
that hope exists, but it comes with a price tag they
cannot afford; which is why Asta has created their
new GoFundMe.
She said, “Raimondas is full of life, dreams, and love –
and he’s not ready to give up. Neither am I. We’re
asking for your kindness and support to help us afford
this treatment."
Asta Pratapaviciene hopes that if Raimondas can be saved from this aggressive brain cancer by this
new and experimental treatment, others can be too.
