Something For The Body
If you are not fit & healthy, you won’t have the energy you need to do all you want to.
Take 30 minutes a day & work your body. Your endorphins & your tush will thank you &
help you keep you going.
Something For The Mind
If you are not calm & receptive, you can’t tackle & conquer the challenges. It doesn’t
matter if it’s yoga, dancing, prayer, learning something new, or sharing your knowledge.
Activities will center you, encourage deep breathing & connect you to something bigger.
Something For A Stranger
Along the lines of ancient tithing, giving things away, or helping someone when there’s
nothing else in it for you, especially when you’re frightened or nervous about your own
life, gives you perspective & empowers you.
Something For Weaker Creatures
Taking care of your children & your pets is a joy that requires some maintenance, but
there are great rewards & it almost always improves clarity, focus & blood pressure.
Something For Your Home
This is one of my favorites because, as a hyperactive woman, I relax when I putter. As a
result, my home is lovely, & I have a great distraction when my thoughts are too
scattered. One caveat though, you can get too absorbed in the details, & use projects to
procrastinate, so be watchful.
Something For Your Pressing Projects
Your projects & responsibilities are like everything else in life. They take work, & they’re
never really done. The key is to make it as pleasurable & fun as possible. A glass of
wine at a working lunch, meeting in the park, & making sure your surroundings are
lovely. Think scented candles, plants, & aromatherapy for mood.
Something For A Friend
We all forget that everyone needs help sometime. Productive grown-ups usually get
forgotten. I know that most of my life, I never appeared to need help, even when I
