These machines can continually shred large quantities of paper for long periods of time and are designed to shred between 2,000 and 12,000 sheets of paper per day. Their attractive design and large storage bin make them a nice addition to any large of fice, copy room or communications center. With nine models to choose from, Dahle Department Shredders have a larger feed open ing to easily accommodate letter, legal and wide computer paper (excludes 30430). The machines with the largest sheet capacity in this range can shred up to 32 sheets of paper at a time. Department Shredders feature a large capacity waste bin and are capable of holding 35 gallons of shredded material. This series in cludes three strip cut models as well as six fully electronic cross cut machines with the ability to shred to the standards of security levels 2 - 5. The shredding power of these machines origi nates from a 2 horsepower continuous duty motor (most models) which allows for longer shred periods without cooling down. In order to provide slip free power to the cutting cylinders a steel chain connects the two components and provides maximum shredding capacity. Remov ing staples and paper clips are a thing of the past. Dahle shredders can easily accommodate these items without harming the machine and saving you time in the process. Properly oiling Dahle’s Department Shredders is the key to maintaining optimal performance. Dahle Shredder Oil is the best lubricant since it’s specially formulated to not leave any residue that could attract dust and clog the shred ding mechanism. Due to it’s function most Department Shredders are placed in common areas and have multiple users. As a smart alter native of ensuring your machine receives proper oil, we recommend adding an Automatic oiler. Chain-driven motor provides slip free power to the cutting mechanism.
