Students should consult with Counselors to determine the most appropriate General Education patterns for their intended majors and transfer institutions. Contact the Director of Recruitment, with the Degree Completion Program, at (916) 577-2336. 2. Courses taken as preparation for a major will also satisfy the corresponding portion of the IGETC requirements. 3. Courses that meet CSU requirements for the above categories will satisfy WJU requirements in similar categories. 4. Each course used to fulfill IGETC requirements must be completed with minimum grades of “C-” or better. 5. Advanced placement exams may be used to satisfy all areas of IGETC except for the critical thinking- English composition and oral communication requirements. IGETC policy is to accept a score of 3 or higher to clear one course. 6. The above requirements apply to WJU programs. However, students may transfer up to a total of 64 units from a community college. Of these total units the following limits apply: Physical Education—4 units, applied units such as music lessons or auto mechanics—8 units. 7. Courses that meet CSU requirements for the above categories will satisfy WJU requirements in similar categories. 8. Where the IGETC requirements for CSU/UC exceed WJU requirements, the extra units will transfer to meet other general education requirements. Summary of Requirements For William Jessup University “Degree Completion Program”. For Entry: At least 60 semester units including English 1a and two years of full time work experience or 25 years of age.
