Exhaust Systems &
Component Testing
The applied inputs can be configured utilizing a
single or multiple hydraulic actuator configuration
for uni-axial or multi-axial inputs.
For higher frequency applications, Electro-dynamic
(ED) shakers with slip tables that allow three axis
testing one axis at a time are employed. Typical
inputs include sinusoids, sine on sine, random, saw-
tooth, and shaped white noise (PSD) out to 2000
Hz. If field correlation is required, real-time phase
related inputs out to 50 Hz. can be developed
using acquired field data. In conjunction with the
mechanical inputs simulated exhaust temperatures
and extreme field conditions such as cold water
spray/quench and contaminants can be integrated
into the test configuration.
