Aurora TC-100 Finish Description Factory-mixed stone finish consisting of coloured aggregates in a transparent 100% acrylic binder. AURORA TC-100 Finish provides a stone-like appearance, either rough or smooth depending upon application. Primary uses 1. Provides an aesthetically pleasing surface colour and texture for the Senergy® Wall Systems. 2. Can also be utilized as a textured finish for poured concrete or unit masonry, conventional stucco, Senergy Stucco Wall System, Senergy Cement-Board Stucco, certain insulating concrete forms, and interior veneer plaster or gypsum board. Thoroughly mix the factory-prepared AURORA TC-100 Finish with a mixer until thoroughly blended. 2. A small amount of clean, potable water may be added to adjust workability. 3. Additives are not permitted. 4. Close container when not in use. 5. Clean tools with soap and water immediately after use. Application 1. Substrate shall be dry, clean, sound and free of releasing agents, paint or other residue or coatings. Verify substrate is flat, free of fins or planar irregularities greater than 6.4mm in 3m 2. Apply a tight coat of AURORA TC-100 Finish directly to the Senergy Base Coat/Reinforcing Mesh with a clean, stainless steel trowel. 3. Maintain a wet edge on AURORA TC-100 Finish by applying and levelling continually over the wall surface. 4. Work AURORA TC-100 Finish to corners, joints or other natural breaks and do not allow material to set up within an uninterrupted wall area. Allow to set until surface is completely dry prior to applying a second coat of AURORA TC-100 Finish. 5. a. For a smooth appearance, use a stainless steel trowel and apply the second coat of AURORA TC-100 Finish. Achieve final texture using circular motions. b. For a textured appearance, apply the second coat of AURORA TC-100 Finish using a spray gun and hopper. Double- back to achieve final texture. 6. Total thickness of AURORA TC-100 Finish shall be approximately 1.6mm. Note: Certain colours may require the use of Senergy TINTED PRIMER over the Senergy Base Coat / Reinforcing Mesh prior to application of AURORA TC- 100 Finish. Limitations 1. Protect AURORA TC-100 Finish during transportation and installation to avoid physical damage. 2. Store AURORA TC-100 Finish in a cool, dry place protected from freezing. Store at no less than 10˚C. Protect from extreme heat and direct sunlight. Shelf life is two years when unopened and stored as directed. 3. Do not apply AURORA TC-100 Finish in ambient temperatures below 10˚C. Provide supplementary heat during installation and drying period (at least 24 hours after installation and until dry) when temperatures less than 10˚C prevail. 4. Do not apply AURORA TC-100 Finish to frozen surfaces. 5. Samples of AURORA TC-100 Finish are available from Senergy for colour approval only. Samples for job approval must be made in the field by the applicator, and approved prior to ordering. Absorb larger spills with sand, vermiculite, or kitty litter; sweep up and place in a suitable container for disposal. First Aid • For eye contact, rinse eyes with water. Remove any contact lenses, and continue flushing with plenty of water for several minutes. SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION if irritation develops and persists. • For skin contact, wash affected areas with plenty of water, and soap if available, for several minutes. SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION if irritation develops and persists. • If inhaled, remove from area to fresh air. SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION if respiratory irritation develops or if breathing becomes difficult. • If consumed, give 3–4 glasses of water, but do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by a physician. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious or convulsing person.
