Despite the Pandemic, Pennsylvania LARPing Groups Are Still Hoping They Can Hold Outdoor Events. It Will Depend On People Wearing Masks And Respecting Social Distancing. For more information, visit us here: https://alliancegettysburg.com/larping-pennsylvania-live-action-role-playing-2/.
Despite Pandemic, LARPing Events in
Pennsylvania Can Continue If We Wear Masks.
Are you missing Pennsylvania LARP
events like we are? Is there any hope that
we might actually get to go to these
events this year? Ryan Kelsey, owner of
Alliance LARP Gettysburg believes that
the events can, with some small but
important changes.
"Obviously, having the
event entirely outside is the
safest option," Kelsey says.
"We are planning for events and trying to
encourage people to prepare for them as
well." Pennsylvania has been strict with its
requirements for large-group gatherings
because the pandemic has been pretty bad
here, but large group events are starting.
How can you be safe?
Design your costume around your
mask! Wearing masks and carrying
hand sanitizer could even provide a
rare chance for you to change your
costumes and get even more creative.
Even if you can't fit it into your
costume, wear a mask.
Kelsey said that, "The question becomes
what would these players wear if they needed
to have a mask? Would it be crudely sewn
and look weathered or would it be prim and
proper? How would it attach to their ears?
What about face shields? It will be interesting
to see the results."
While we would still love to
see character appropriate
masks, safety is what is
most important.
Right now, Alliance LARP
Gettysburg has six events planned,
with the hopes that some good
planning and preparation will allow
them to happen. For more

Alliance Gettysburg is a
high fantasy live-action
role-play game.
Your creativity is the limit, and if
you want to travel to attend our
events, it is likely that you will be
able to use that same character in
live-action role-playing events
near you.
We host our events in
Pennsylvania, but we
welcome LARPers from and
all over the country - the more
players, the better.
