Carlsbad, Calif. (PRWEB) January 12, 2010 -- Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson and the global
leader in enabling Business-Critical Continuity™, today announced the addition of the DS760SL to its expanding
portfolio of distributed power solutions. The energy-efficient, high-density DS760SL is the first distributed power
supply from Emerson Network Power to feature a slimline form factor. Its compact design gives original
equipment manufacturers the flexibility to support applications in a wide range of space-constrained environments
including server storage, industrial computing platforms and enterprise server racks.
Emerson Network Power’s 12 V DS760SL distributed power supply is rated for 748 W of primary output power
at 63.3 A. It features a secondary 5 Vsb housekeeping output that provides 12 W at 2.4 A for powering standby
circuitry. The DS760SL accepts a wide operating input voltage of 90 V to 264 V. A slim 1U (44.5mm) x 54.55
mm form factor gives the DS760SL a power density of more than 18 W per cubic inch. It features opposite-side
ac inputs and dc outputs and supports warm-swap installation, enhancing system-level serviceability. Designed to
conveniently plug into equipment backplane or a power distribution unit (PDU), the DS760SL also supports
parallel operation of up to four power supplies.
The DS760SL is equipped with a variety
