New Plymouth is situated on the west coast of the North Island, New Zealand and has
the Tasman Sea and Mt Taranaki at its doorstep. Taranaki gives us the mountain,
lakes, rivers, sea, surf, beaches and bush walks - providing for lots of outdoor
activities, surfing, skiing, fishing, boating and hiking.
Taranaki is also the home of WOMAD, TSB Festival of Lights, Taranaki International
Festival of the Arts, Taranaki Rhododendron and Garden Festival and provides a
beautiful backdrop for concerts and events at the famous TSB Bowl of Brooklands and
Pukekura Park.
