Series with the No-Thrills ES10

If his or her travels take him or her to Samsung's septic-looking
website, the web adventurer(ess) will perhaps notice that, under the
ES product series, a new digital camera model called the ES10 has
recently made its entrance. Let us look at the visage of this device
and try to fathom its benefits for the photographically inclined user.
First of all, Samsung promises us really high quality pictures (8.1
mega pixel 1/2.5" high resolution) thanks to the camera's CCD sensor.
The device has 3x zoom capability and uses various image-polishing technologies
with its integrated image processor, which should make your pictures poster-material.
Similarly to other products of its ilk, the ES10 comes with tricks that
help its users avoid certain classic photography mistakes by default.
For instance, with the Beauty Shot, the camera detects imperfections
in human faces and perfections them, so to speak. If you're worried
about getting pictures with too much of an artificial look, there are
settings for different levels of such retouching.
Face Detection is not exactly a novelty, but a handy function taken one step ahead
with Self-Portrait. The camera beeps when it has finished recognizing and
positioning a face, and the fact that it also compensates for a possibly shaking hand
means you can take photos even in hang-over conditions. The no-more-red-eye
function is, again, not something revolutionary, but quite useful as you don't have to
remove that effect by editing the image file in Photoshop or something like that.
Samsung's camera features a 2.5 inch LCD and seems to be smart enough to
