The sector is active across Scotland and Edinburgh is the “Digital Capital” with the University of Edinburgh’s School of Informatics ranking among the best in the world and a dynamic start-up scene attracting global venture capital. Edinburgh was also recently named the UK’s top city for start-ups and attracts more foreign investment than any other tech cluster in the UK, outside London.
