The system will allow suppliers easier access to tenders published by the University. The Pro Contract system is a complete internet based so- lution providing suppliers with a secure and easy to use e- tendering solution. The system allows the University to ad- vertise new tender opportunities and suppliers to ex- change tender and quotation documentation with us. The system will become the central point of reference for tender opportunities for the University. The key benefit of this will be that registered suppliers will no longer need to search various media in order to look for new business opportunities advertised by us and poten- tially missing out on new business opportunities which may be relevant to them. The system also enables the exchange of quotation and tender information between the Univer- sity and suppliers online, ensuring a consistent, open and non-discriminatory tender process What is e-tendering? E-tendering is a process which allows suppliers and buyers to share infor- mation on tender opportunities via the use of internet based technologies. Opportunities can be advertised, ten- dered and awarded all within the same system.
